Xmas activities in KL, 2012 Fun activities for kids this Christmas ...

Christmas is in the air! Sign your kids up to enjoy these festive activities or have some family fun by visiting these kid-friendly events that?s taking place during the Christmas season.

Caterpillar?s December workshops

Send your kid to Caterpillar to enjoy fun hands-on programs where he can take part in Christmas themed activities. If your kid loves arts and crafts, there is a Christmas angel-making (Dec 3) and a reindeer arts and crafts (Dec 5). If your little one is a budding chef, there is a Christmas cupcake-baking session (Dec 7) and you can team up with your kid to build your own Christmas house (Dec 8,15 & 22) made out of traditional German gingerbread dough.

Register your child today to guarantee a spot. Kids are encouraged to attend dressed in shades of white, red and green in the spirit of Christmas. Classes are open to children aged four to ten. All materials and lunch are provided.

Baking lessons

Enrol your kids in a baking lesson at Natalie?s Gourmet Studio where they will learn how to prepare chocolate b?che (Christmas log cake), gingerbread men and gingerbread Christmas trees. They are sure to come out as little Masterchefs. Be sure to register your child today to secure a space.

Legoland Malaysia

Go on a short trip to Johor to visit Asia?s first Legoland. Despite being home to Asia?s largest Lego shop, Legoland Malaysia has seven themed areas, 40 rides, 15000 Lego models and 50 million Lego bricks which make up the entire theme park. There are impressively detailed Lego models on display and there are a few hands-on Lego workshops that you can participate in. The Little Big Club

The superstars of children?s television are in town to perform live in ?The Little Big Club ? Live in Concert? this weekend. Barney the purple dinosaur, Bob the Builder, Angelina Ballerina, Thomas the Tank Engine are among the big names set to appear in an exciting day full of song and dance.

Event executive producer and director Kym Halpin said the show will be like a mini rock concert for children.

?We encourage them to come and sing and dance along to the songs, many of which are the classics from the characters? respective shows,? she said, adding that there would be a special guest appearance by Pingu.

?My favourite part in the show is the closing, when Barney sings the famous I Love You song and all the families hug. It sometimes brings tears to my eyes,? she said.

The 90-minute show will be held at the Kuala Lumpur Convention Centre?s Plenary Hall.

There will be six performances: tomorrow at 11am, 3pm and 6pm while on Sunday it is at 11am, 2pm and 5pm.

Beauty and the Beast: The Musical

If your little one loved the classic children?s fairy tale on friendship and unconditional love, they?d be sure to love the Disney animated movie come to life on stage with Beauty and the Beast: The Musical. The musical features six primary cast members from London?s famous West End theatre district and a cast of live musicians led by famed music director, David Laugharne. The show will be showing every evening from Dec 1 to 31 except on Wednesdays, so be sure to book your tickets now!

Aquaria fun

Throughout the month of December, Aquaria will be charging their packages at a lower rate. So now will be a great time to bring your kids to Aquaria to experience the underwater beauty and learn about all the different kinds of fishes that live in the ocean. Or if they?re brave enough, they can swim with the sharks with Aquaria?s ?Cage Rage? and ?Sleep with Sharks? programs which are now priced at RM180 rather than the usual RM199.
